Nikolsky's sign is a buzzword that should lead us to think of a number of skin conditions. However, frequently, the USMLE question maker will not often tell you the name out-rightly instead they usually describe it. Common descriptions include one of the two followings:
Rubbing the skin leads to sloughing of skin.
Lateral traction of the surrounding skin leads to sloughing (desquamation).
Now what causes that we should be thinking of?
