I have heard of a couple of friends without sequential items or heart murmurs. A lot of pictures are common though.
Ewwwwfff, That was a relief! When I finished the test I realized that i didn't have any sequential items and I panicked! As if I skipped a block or something! thanks a lot!

Sorry guys.,but wat r sequential items?
Sequential items are two consecutive questions related to each other so that once you answer the first you can't change your answer to it and you have to jump to the next question which is related to it.
For example they describe a case and in the first item they ask you the diagnosis and in the following item they ask you about the management.
They usually give extra clues in the second item (that's why you can't go back and change the answer to the first item)

I took my usmle step 1 today and I did not have any sequential item either.
I am so glad to hear that somebody else had the same experience because I started wondering about the craziest things: such as I did not realized they were linked and I have clicked the "next" at the top instead of the "submit" button so I have missed the second part and they will give me both answers wrong.
Bottom line I think I will not feel totally relieved until I will know my score... does it really takes 3 to 4 weeks?
Thanks
