Can't remember the cytotoxic from the non-cytotoxic diseases of Type II hypersensitivity reactions? Bet you do.

Here's a simple mnemonic to help us remember the non-cytotoxic and everything else will be cytotoxic;

Mocking Globulin Production Diseases (globulin stands for antibodies, in these diseases the autoimmune antibodies mock natural ligands and block or stimulate some physiologic actions)

  • Myasthenia Gravis
  • Grave's disease
  • Pernicious anemia
  • Diabetes Mellitus (type II)

Can anyone explain why Diabetes Mellitus (type II) was enlisted as non-cytotoxic HRS type II?
I suppose this disease is the insulin resistance without antibodies formation (vs. some cases of diabetes Mellitus (type I) which are examples of cytotoxic HSR II).
