Hello everybody.
First of all, I need to say I LOVED the forums so far.
Without asking, I already found answers to a lot of things on my mind.
I've been thinking about USMLE for a long time, but now I am decided to go for it.
I read ALL the threads in the Step 1 area, and liked a lot the support you guys give to each other, that was very nice to read.
I am a full time worker, so I know I will need to get organized on schedule and material. I will be asking tons of questions and will keep the forum informed about the progress...

Thanks in advance for all the info and support!

It's a difficult task

Welcome on board :)

I hate to say this, but I have to tell you if I want to be honest with you.

Being an old grad with over 6 years since graduation is a great problem when you want to find a residency in USA.

Here's what you have to do:

  • 99 in step 1, step 2 CK, and step 3
  • CS pass first attempt
  • at least three months of US clinical experience
  • apply to IM, FM, and psychiatry
If you plan to do anything other than what I mentioned in the list above then I urge you to reconsider decision :(
