I wanted to ask your opinion on something.

I'm booked to take the CS on June 2nd, and that was because I was expecting to fly home for a few weeks, and my SP was supposed to take her step 1 on May 9th, so we'd booked the only date with 2 spots.

Now, I'm not going home, and she's doubting being ready by May 9th. I was thinking, how about I pull my date in, as in pre pone from June 2nd to some where between April 26-May10th (depending on availability). Houston is not conducting tests from May15th to 30th or something.

My question is - if I do nothing but study for the CS, is 3 weeks OK to prepare? I can give it 8 to 10 hours a day for sure. How would you recommend I proceed? I have FA for the CS and UW for the CS and just got some one called Neeraj's notes for the CS from my SP. Is that enough?

I also have a brother whom I can force to be a patient as needed. What do you say, should I do this?

I'm thinking it will also give me all the more time to prepare for CK. Only scary thing is - my result for step one might/probably will come in before I take CS. I'd love to hear what you think.

Thanks in advance

Materials
FA for the CS + UW for the CS is all the materials that you need. But you have to get the new third edition of the FA Book not the old one and here's why
Additional new cases in Third edition of FA

How long it takes?
See this thread
Time needed to prepare for Step 2 CS
I think that 8 hours per day for three weeks is extremely sufficient and you can even spare the weekends :)

Forcing your brother!
Although it's better than nothing but definitely getting a student willing to take the exam soon is far more better. And regarding how to practice with your partner read this thread

Preponing your exam.
Yes, It's a good idea. Don't waste your time idling. Don't worry about the effects of Step 1 score even if it came few days before your CS.

I did it. I changed my date from June 2nd to April 28th. Fingers crossed, specially on that Step 1 result which can come in anyday a week from now. Never before have I needed God and luck and all those good things all at once before!
