I am preparing for usmle step 1 on/off since june last year and i read brs physio high yield neuro kaplan biochemistry anatomy but i think i don't remember much so i am sticking to uw+fa and pathoma only but it takes me 2 hours to read and understand one FA page as i google FA topics i don't know is it good strategy whenever i find difficult topic i loose concentration i wonder how people prepare for step 1 in 9-12 month time maybe they were really good student i do want 240-250 but i am finding it tough

The approach that I have found helpful is to start with Kaplan videos+ their lecture notes; the kaplan videos are very helpful in making the concepts clear.
After you are done with a particular topic in Kaplan/pathoma/BRS, read the relevant topic in FA and add the necessary annotations.

I'd suggest to stay consistent in your prep and study regularly. On and off studying schedules and frequent breaks will simply evaporate what you previously studied. So consistency is the key! :)
