Prometric Asked me to pay even though I paid the ECFMG

Hi mates,

I've a question and I hope somebody here can help.

My original eligibility period was from 01 Jan 2011 to 31 Marh 2011 and I scheduled an exam at the Prometric at 22 March.

I extended my eligibility period through the ECFMG and paid a fee of $65, my new period is up to 31 June 2011.

I logged in to Prometric to re-schedule my exam to 07-June-2011 and surprisingly they asked me to pay a fee of 50$.

The last updated info at USMLE.org says that the fee is issued if the new date is < 31 days from the original date.

I sent them an email but still didn't receive a response.

I'll appreciate if any bloke here can help me with anything I don't know.

Clearing the confusion

You paid the ECFMG to extend your eligibility period (not to reschedule).

You have to pay Prometric to reschedule, because you wanted to change your date less than 30 days before the scheduled date which is 22nd March, today is February 28th so it's less than a month.
