Q. In "appetite regulation" FA 2016 P.311", it's mentioned that Sleep deprivation increases ghrelin production and Ghrelin stimulates GH release but in the same page under "Growth hormone", it's mentioned that GH secretion is increased in deep sleep.Now,it's creating confusion whether GH is increased in sleep deprivation or deep sleep???, as these 2 are almost opposite things?Before, I knew GH increases in Deep sleep but when it is associated with Ghrelin, we will come to know know that it's increased in sleep deprivation.Can anybody help.Thanks.
