In klinefelter syndrome, there is dysgenesis of seminiferous tubules and as a result - both inhibin secretion from sertoli cells and testosterone production from leyding sells decreases. But, How estrogen and estrogen/testosterone ratio increases in klinefelter syn., can anybody pls explain this.Thanks.

The decreased testosterone in klinefelters leads to decreased feedback inhibition and thus increased LH from the pitutary. This LH actually causes increased aromatase in fat tissue which converts the adrenal androgens into estrogen.

thanks hassan. But, can u pls confirm is it LH or FSH that stimulate aromatase production by adipose tissue? I am asking this because as I was discussing with my friend, he was mentioning that increase in FSH stimulates aromatase production. So, just wanted to make sure of it.
