Barter syndrome is like loop diuretic use!

Na-2Cl-K pump not working so excess sodium reach late dct and collecting ducts where aldosterone acts to reabsorb the Na but in exchange K+ or H+ is lost resulting into hypokalemia and metabolic alkalosis respectively.

what about Liddle syn.? What is the explanation for Metabolic alkalosis and hypokalemia in spte of decreased aldosterone?

Liddle is gain of function mutation of ENaC so increased sodium absorbtion in the late dct and ct in expense of K+ and H+, so hypokalemia and met alkalosis
