I have a couple of questions about the ECFMG registration.

1. When to register for the ECFMG if you are planning to take the exam 10 to 12 months later.?

2. If I registered, then, how much time I am allowed to spend with out applying for the exam?

3. Are there any fees_other than the exam's_i need to know about?

4. I reside in a place far away from my med school, so, is it necessary for me to get the ECFMG forms signed/authenticated by my med school officials?

When to register for the ECFMG if you are planning to take the exam 10 to 12 months later.?

It depends on many factors such as how fast your school responds to ECFMG forms and how busy the ECFMG at the time of application.
Generally speaking 6 months before the intended exam date should be enough in most cases.

You cannot finish the registration procees without applying and paying for the exam.

You might spend some money on sending your forms to the medical school, notary public certification, Prometric center rescheduling (maybe), buying commercial qbanks, buying USMLE review books, ...etc

Yes. you have to get it signed by medical school official but you don't need to go yourself to the medical school, you can send it by mail.

To day I got a mail from EFCMF..
Its states that they are unable to process the form 186 .
The seal of official who signed in section B is not coresponding to there records.
The seal is my college official seal ..
What to do ..
I contacted ECFMG they r telling to sent another letter from college to state that it is the official seal.
Will it work..

I got an email from ECFMG reporter which said " Incomplete IWA Applications Will Be Deleted on September 11". I did not choose any exams date does my application will be deleted ?!
