Rapid Streptococcal Antigen Test is over 95% specific so when it's positive it's as strong as a positive culture. But when it's negative then we have to do culture.

In pharyngitis , first step to do is Rapid strep test .... If its positive what should be the next step , and if negative what would be the next step ????

If negative do culture + antibiotics
If positive only antibiotics
If negative do culture + antibiotics
