I think they mean that if you use the inappropriate antibiotic then you increase the resistance and the symptoms get prolonged. That's what am thinking :redcheeks;
yeah i was thinking along similar lines, b/c i know that salmonella resistance is a global concern, and that inappropriate antibiotic treatment can lead to resistance, which would just mean the salmonella thriving and prolonging the symptoms. I was actually just wondering if there was a specific mechanism in which using antibiotics to treat salmonellosis would cause symptoms to actually last longer. :notsure:
