You can extend your eligibility period for another six months. You can do that in your OASIS account. But you cannot do it until you have received your scheduling permit and CIN number.

hey thanks a lot for the information...but i have one more query...you say that i can extend my eligibility period for another 6 months..will those 6 months include the 3 months i applied for taking my exam or excluding them??i mean i applied for the slot of October - December so if i extend my eligibility period,how far can it be extended to? will it be till march 2011 or will it be till June 2011??

You can only extend three months

It will be March 2011. You can only extend once and it's for three months only and those three months have to be the next three months to your original eligibility period and so a total of six months eligibility you'll be having from October 2010 until March 2011.
