While am working on my ERAS application I noticed two options in the profile sections which are asking whether we are ACLS certified or PALS certified in USA?

I am not. Should I look for a course to do it. Is it important?

If the answer is yes, can you please tell me where to find these courses in USA?

Yes, do it

Yes, of course it's better to be certified.

You will impress the program director and he/she will feel more comfortable with you.

If you are applying for pediatrics then do PALS
If you are applying for anything else then do ACLS

How to find AHA certified course in your area?
Go to American Hear Association service located here
in that page click on "Find a Class Near You" and you can then locate courses by zip code.

The average price for such courses is $200 to $300.

Should I be acls/pals certified?? Would that help my application.. ?? Or is it juz a waste of money
It does not help much.
All residency programs will train their residents for ACLS and/or PALS during the orientation time.
So if you do it now, you will be paying for it from your pocket instead of waiting for the residency program to pay it for you.
