confused between truncusarteriosus and pda..but i thinkit is pda which has no single s2 ..just a machinery murmur..so no s1 n s2 heard...apart from the ones listed..add to the list pul atresia

Which is the only one has nothing to do with the abnormalities of the pulmonary valve.

the answer is transposition of great arteries.
causes of single s2 are those with absence or inaudibilty of either components and those which delay a2 such that a2 and p2 occur together or are separated by time duration less than 20millisecond which is heard by our ears as one sound.

i am sure its a doubt between pda and tga for most of us.
remember that a2 can be delayed in pda and most of us remember it as a cause of reverse splitting.but initially it would cause single s2 before reverse split.
tga has got nothing to do with valve closure timing!
