Hello every one
I've been applied to ECFMG but I heard from a friend

Two versions

There's two types of form 186.

One type is requesting only the stamp of the notary public and another version is requesting the stamp of both the notary public and the medical school official.

The first type is usually given to graduate of schools that participate in the EMSWP.

So what does your Form 186 says? you have to follow the instructions.

EMSWP is ECFMG Medical School Web Portal which is a website that allows for direct communication between medical schools and the ECFMG. If your medical school is registered in it then ECFMG does not require the medical school official signature as they'll get it directly from them via EMSWP.

If your form does not tell which way to go then I strongly suggest that you call ECFMG and ask them.

Don't forget to tell us here what they have informed so that we increase our awareness of this issue that we noticed frequently during the last one year.

No you cannot log in to EMSWP, only your medical schools officials can.
Most probably you don't need to have your form signed by a med school official since they participate in the EMSWP, however, it does not harm if you give ECFMG a call, they change the rules every week!
