Congratulation for your score. Can you please give us some detailed info about the way you worked ? thank you
Hi guys..so sorry for the delay.. I was hooked up with some work.. so couldn't get back here.
My preparation was 8-9 mths...I am an average student in my medical school... so my basics weren't very strong.. so I decided to start from the scratch.
I started with Kaplan LN and videos for each subject.
It took me 3 mths to complete my first read of Kaplan books.
As I finished each subject in Kaplan I would just have a glance at the same subject in FA and annoted some points which I felt were important.
Then I brought Uworld.. took 6 mths subscription.
I did it timed subject wise-2, blocks/ per day and annoted stuff into FA.
After my first round of Uworld my Overall correct percentage was 91%.
I was very happy so I decided to take a break.
But dis was the mistake i did.
My break lasted for almost a mth after which I thought I had forgotten most of the stuff.
So I sat back..did a second round of Uworld along with FA.
I gave UWSA after this.
My scores were UWSA1-251 UWSA2-250
I then planned to revise FA once again and give nbme's.
My nbme scores were as follows,
Nbme7:246
Nbme11-252
Nbme13-245(1 myth before exam)
Nbme16-241(2 days before exam)
I decided to practice giving an exam for 8 hours.
I gave Kaplan simulated 7 hr exam and scored 78%. This had many weird questions and was not of much use.
So my whole preparation was centered around Uworld and FA.
Lastly I would say that the real exam was nothing like out of the world....questions too were not soo lengthy...break time was just perfect and managable..Just BE CONFIDENT... I wish all of you good luck..may u all come out with much better scores than mine.
