i wonder if u can help me with these 2 simple questions:

1- i'm a medical student and i study in egypt.. i want to pass 1st step.. where is it passed? is it in the american embassy or in u.s.??

2- how much does this exam cost?? and is it the same fee in all countries??

1- In Egypt, the exam is taken in AMIDEAST center in Dokki, Cairo.

2- In Egypt, it costs around USD $800. Prices change all the time, so you may need to check again.

I recommend you read ECFMG's 2011 Information Booklet for more information.
