Dears,
I spent my fifth year as a guest student in a college other than the one granted me my degree and then transferred my credits to the latter, but for the sake of ECFMG certification and for the purpose of documenting my transferred credits, the college I attended for one year accepted to give me only a letter of support that states my attendance at their college without a transcript (they said that they have sent it to my original college and I can get a copy from there if I need one)... I talked to officials in my college and they gave me a letter of support that I attended the other college and transferred credits from them and that they are attaching the my transcript as they have received it from my hosting college... would that be ok?? would it be ok that I put both letters of support from both college as documents to document my transferred credits???

Sorry for lengthy question
Thanks.

Let me ask you

Yes. You have to send both support letters to ECFMG to document the transfer.

But let me ask you.

Do you have a final medical school transcript with you now?
Is it originated from the first or the second college?
Does it mention the transferred credits?

Hey again,
well yes I have my final medical school transcript right now, it is from my first college at which I attended 5 of the 6 years, and it does not mention anything about the transferred credits. Even the 5th year (which I attended in the other college) is listed with a corrected degrees (based on the ones I transferred and in comparison to the original college curriculum, in addition to the extra units that I had to do in order to meet the requirement to pass the fifth year at my college)
so what do you think???

I can't really understand this.
How come your first college gave you a final medical school transcript before you meet all the requirements? Would you please explain that for me.

No, my college did not do that, what I meant is that in addition to the credits I had transferred from the other college, my college required me to take more subjects (like clinical pathology for instance, which I did not take in the other college) in order to let me pass to the 6th grade and this is what happened. and in my final medical transcript (which I got after the 6th grade and graduation), In my transcript now, the marks of the 5th years includes both the extra subject I passed and the marks that I earned in the other college after correction (I really don't know what the process is called in English, they take in consideration the total credit hours and marks I earned in the hosting college and the ones in my college curriculum to get a corrected mark).
But nothing is mentioned about transferred credits

sorry if am bothering you :redcheeks;, and am really grateful for you

So correct me if am wrong.
Your first college wanted you to complete some extra requirements which you go and did in the second college.
Then the first college embedded the units you did in the second college and included them in your transcript and produced a transcript for you without mentioning that they included your second college units.

Am I correct?

You are almost there,
because of security issues I had to attend a college in a city other than my original one, so I did, and after finishing a year there, I came back to my original cit and college with the credits I earned in the second college, so my original college officials compared the credit hours and the subjects I got from the second college with the college curriculum and accepted my transferred credit but said that still I need to pass a couple of subjects to meet the requirement of passing the 5th grade (which the second college's curriculum did not include, let's say clinical pathology and medical ethics for instance) so I took them and passed the year, and now in my transcript, the area of the 5th year marks include both my transferred credits and the credits of the couple subjects I passed.
still nothing is mentioned regarding my transferred credit in the transcript (but both colleges gave my letters of support about me attending the second college for one year)

Here's my suggestion for you.
Do not tell the ECFMG that you have transferred credits.
As long as you final medical school transcript from your first college is complete and it does not mention that you have transferred credit and as long as you have a Diploma from them. Then I see no need to tell the ECFMG that you have transferred credits and no need to complicate the matters.
Did you tell the ECFMG that you have transferred credits already?

Sadly yes, in the online application I did (can't I change that?)
Many people advised me not to tell but really I wanted to be honest and be on the safe side.
I have not submit my form 186 yet, only the online form

If you already mentioned it in the online part then I think that's irreversible.
OK. then the best thing you do now is to send the support documents from both your colleges along with your transcript and hopefully things do not go wrong.
