I'm getting mixed up on the types of iodide/iodine by different sources but my question is: Is it inorganic IODIDE that gets converted to organic IODINE
or is it inorganic IODINE that gets converted to organic IODIDE. Thanks

I just realized why you're confused lol. Goljan and Kaplan Pharm say that IodIDE is converted to IodINE by oxidation. Now I'm confused too. :(

yeah and in UWorld it says unorganic iodine is converted to organic iodide. all the sources say something different..
