Hey guys,

Just resent the Certification of identification form 186 (public notary/counselor official version) after having some issues doing it through my med school. When do you think i could expect having my Scheduling Permit? :notsure:

Usually 2-3 months depending on your college
OMG! this are horrible news for me.... Let me tell you... ECFMG first received Form 186 late-november and rejected it due to some issue with the medical school authority signature. I got sick of waiting for my school to solve this problem and decided to do it through a Consular Official. Did that yesterday and today it was received by ECFMG.

The horrible news are that I'm totally ready to take my Step 1!!! and now I have to wait for this process to be done. Additionally, my transcript won't be sent by my medical school for Credential Verification in the next 2 weeks.

Can I get the scheduling Permit without Credentials Verification/transcript sent by my medical school???? someone told me this wasn't necessary before, but it's a new requirement added late last year.
