In addition to voting in the poll above please post your reply with details so that we get a grasp of the real situation.

Please note that this thread and poll is for graduates only, mainly IMG grads
For time needed by medical students check this poll http://www.usmle-forums.com/usmle-s...-medical-students-prepare-usmle-step-1-a.html

Please follow this format (which is a true example of my USMLE step 1 experience)

Time needed: 14 Months
Average study hours per day: Eight
Scored: 235/98 (u can leave blank if you don't want to tell)
Years since graduation at time of test: 2 years

Also check the following links for the other steps:
time needed for Step 2 CS preparation
time needed for Step 2 CK preparation
time needed for Step 3 preparation

Time needed: 4.5 Months
Average study hours per day: 4 or 5 at max
Average Time spent watching TV Serials: 3-4 :p Lol
Scored: 249/99
Years since graduation at time of test: 5 Month :p

I believe people reading this thread can have an estimation of the timeline but should NOT follow it as everyone has a different aptitude.

Good Luck and Cheers Buddies and Don't forget First Aid If you wanna Ace this beast ... Lol

Under what conditions?

It would be nice also to know under what conditions? I mean... "old" IMG were working or just preparing the exam...this can be a bias in making a conclusion.

I would like to make the question that: the years for graduation are inversely proportional to the score?
