Pseudoaneurysm (false aneurysm) is a hematoma that forms around the vessel due to a leak in its wall. The blood is outside the vessel (not inside the blood vessel in the case of true aneurysm).
In ACS ventricular aneurysms are usually true ventricular aneurysms but pseudoaneurysms can also form usually in the posterolateral wall while the true aneurysm is usually at the ventricular tip (apex).
