I tried to study the question distribution of the USMLE Step 2 CK exam by major discipline. So what I did I examined
NBME Form 1, USMLE CD, USMLEConsult, Kaplan Qbank, USMLERx, and USMLEWorld banks.
Then I sorted out the questions by major discipline (manually in the case of the USMLE CD and NBME Form) and calculated the percentage of each.
Then averaged out the percentages out of all these.
This should give us an idea about the real distribution of the USMLE Step 2 CK exam.

So here's the final results of the break down plotted into a pie chart

it seems internal medicine holds the key to the success in the step 2 CK....so better be really prepared on that front..
