hi fellas,
i just downloaded the UW offline version of 2009 and i was kinda wondering if i used them during my study will this affect my predictive score when i subscribe online for the 2011 version?

the point is if i studied the high-yeild stuff mentioned in the UW 2009 would it be a good preparation be 2011 UW or it lead to false positive high scores and false prediction of my average performance?

thanks in advance

lol

you should not do USMLE World offline for the following reasons:

1) It's outdated and they have changed many of the questions.
2) It's illegal and considered a crime in the United States which is the country where you want to build your future in.
3) It has no means of assessing your performance and it does not compare you to other UW takers.
4) It will ruin you online USMLE World as many concepts are repeated but in a different style and so this renders your practice invalid.
5) You cannot do timed blocks and this is very important to have adequate practice for the exam.
6) You cannot do subject-wise questions and so you miss the opportunity of hitting on your weak subjects.
lol just found the answer...sorry for repetition:eek:

Hey Hypermedic

My exam is in 4 days. I finished the whole UW qbank online and then did many questions offline from 2007 edition. Many many questions ( i would say most questions ) are just repeated as they were in 2007. Nevertheless, online Qbank offers the chance of comparing your performance to others. So i would say do like 5 or 10 blocks from the offline edition, If you are doing really good ( like answering 75 or 80% correctly ) then no need for the comparison cause you are already in a good place, if your scores are below that then subscribe for the online version and see where are you really standing

Hi, I was just wondering if you had to say...what percentage of questions were the same on the online version as the ones of the off line version (ex: are like 90%...so like 1900 questions same questions as the offline one)?
