Hey there everyone, last week i got my results and got a 212(89)

I looked in the first aid book (2010) and a 89 at least in there corresponds to a 218 [im not sure if there bell curve is updated cause a 220-221 equals a 90]

So What im wondering is whether or not a 212(89) is even a decent score.. is it a competitive score for other specialities in other fields... I dont quite know because the scores have seemed to changed since theres now only 332 questions on the exam.. therefore the old exam results from 2007-2008 are hard to compare.

no one in usmle world forums was able to answer it, but was wondering if you guys have an idea?

When the score is below 99, the three digit score does not matter, the residency programs will look at the 2 digit score only.

So it does not matter if you are 212/89 or 218/89, it's 89.

It's the same 89 that people took it 5 years ago, the exam is standardized.
