i was going through some old uworld questions(2007) offline of my friend's laptop ...and there they mention most common site for adenocarcinoma is ascending colon but according to Goljan its rectum...Uworld mentioned it (rectum) as 2nd most common...and ascending as the most common

send me the correct answer plz

The most common site of colorectal cancer is the sigmoid colon (25%) followed by the rectum (21%) followed by cecum (20%) followed by rectosigmoid junction (20%) followed by transverse colon (15%) followed by ascending colon (10%).

Hmm Goljan wrote in RR: "Rectosigmoid: most common site for colon cancer" (I.e. not just rectum, see P.352.). I think it very close to others resources. And in general MC sites for adenocarcinomas according Goljan RR (p.123): "Lung, distal esophagus to rectum, pancreas, liver, breast, endometrium, ovares, kidneys, prostate".
