I've gone through so many of these episodes recently myself. The good news is something always kicks you back but the bad news is usually you can't tell what will...
I have heard from people, variously, that any of the following things might help:
1) Taking a break - watching a movie, dinner with family / friends
2) Not taking a break - in fact taking the subject you know least about and you're most scared of and doing questions in that so that you get like a 30% score and you freak out and go back to studying.
3) Propranolol - 40-80mg

)
4) Caffeine - 1 tab q4h (NoDoz or Vivarin or a double shot of espresso)
5) Some "intimate time" with a significant or "not so significant other" - no foreplay or pillow talk though:happy:
6) Prayer
7) Talking to people right here on this forum
and last but not least
8) Some alone time with your thoughts and no books.
Okay, I might be joking about a few of the ideas, but my point is that whatever kicks you back will be something unique to you. Maybe it's your own desire to finally deal with this monster once and for all. Maybe it's simply that your schedule requires you to complete a certain amount of material whether you're mentally there or not and while you plod along something catches your interest like a really cool picture or a disease case history you find on the internet.
Whatever you do though, remember the ultimate goal and don't worry about the bumps along the way. Today or tomorrow we will all finish this and laugh about how tough it was for us. It's a temporary mental block and 2 months is plenty of time to overcome it successfully and to come out with flying colours.
Good luck!
