The ECFMG recently announced that International Medical Schools must be accredited by a global criteria that govern them all just like how medical schools are accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) and they suggested an alternative accreditation institute which is the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).
This is considered an important news for prospective International Medical Students as they should be looking for a medical school that is accredited by these institutes mentioned above, otherwise they won't be able to take USMLE exams and/or be ECFMG certified.
