I have several friends who have taken the CS exam recently. What's puzzling me is that some of them are really senior with excellent English language with vast clinical experience yet they failed. While others are very fresh IMGs with minimum clinical experience and poor language and accent and yet they passed!
How is that possible
What's the secret?
Who will pass the CS exam?

The biggest secret to pass the CS exam is Practicing Cases
The more cases you practice appropriately before the exam the more likely you pass.

Your senior friends might have overlooked this point and entered the exam overconfident that it's damn easy and they know everything. While in fact, and specially for old expert IMGs, the CS exam is unlike the real world scenario. You have a very short time in which you have to ask and examine everything that is relevant. The only way to master this is via practicing cases as much as you can.
