Can anyone tell me explanation of why we have increased urinary cAMP levels in hyperparathyroidism?? I knew it but somehow it slipped from my mind and m unable to recall now!

The parathyroid hormone works on Gs G protein which then leads to increased levels of cAMP (as second messenger).

To reinforce the concept, remember that Pseudohypoparathyroidism is caused by a fault in the G protein receptor signaling pathway and it has decreased urinary cAMP levels
