Hi,

I know there may not be a definitive reason, but does anyone have any idea why:

Why plaque psoriasis tends to affect extensor surfaces (and the scalp)?

The skin at the extensor surfaces is thicker I suppose, and perhaps that makes it more susceptible to the hyperproliferation of keratinocytes that occurs in psoriasis?

Thanks in advance.
