Writing in USMLE Forums in text message format

I hate to be nit-picky, but I must say a pet peeve of mine is when folks write using text message format or made up words, i.e. words such as "ur", "udr" "wanna" whadya" and all the other variations on words. This isn't meant to be rude to anyone, but to be honest, most of the times I won't even bother to read posts like that. I really believe this forum is somewhat of a professional environment where folks get help from colleagues, and at this point we should be trying to communicate as such. I'm not saying that everything needs to be grammatically correct and I'm sure I've abbreviated at times, but I just think we can at least try...:)

Yeah I totally agree. Ruining the language is something thats on the rise these days and needs to be highly discouraged.
