i graduated in dec 2007 i did my internship from march 2008 to march 2009
so how many years since my graduation

sorry to bump such an old thread but i wanted to ask you something about the same and didnt want to create a new thread :
I GRADUATED ON JULY 2011 , if I am applying for the 2016 match in sept 2015 how will my　YOG be calculated? will it be 4 or 5?i am not planning to apply for 2015's match since by then i will have my results but no externships...

Hello guys! do you know how much the medical school transcripts and the years that it took to graduate influence the probabilities of matching for an IMG? (I am a US citizen). For example if it took 8 years for me to graduate instead of 6 will this be a big problem even if I have a good reason? Plus my Medical school hasn't been recognized from the Cali board yet while it is from the World directory of medical schools. Should I be preoccupied?

french graduate needs some help!

Hi everyone!
I'm a french graduate, I have a question about the date of graduation.
Actually we awarded after the 6th year of med school a diploma that the ecfmg considers as a graduation. For me it was in sept 2012. But we have 3 years or more of residency to do, and submit a thesis before really beeing considered as graduated and get a practice licence in the same way.
So I have sent a mail to the credential service who answered I should refer to their graduation guide online. But a friend of mine submitted to the credential service her year of graduation as the year of thesis (so 4 years after graduation in the mean for the ecfmg) and it was ok since she passed the step1 and review the step 2.
So my question is what should I do?Happy-2
Submit the diploma awarded in 2012 or the other after the thesis in 2016?
