Default IM clerkship vs. FM sub-Internship

I am a foreign medical student who inclined to apply for IM residency. Which rotation will help me most?

I have received MSKCC elective at oncology department. However, UCSD also offered a sub-I rotation at FM in the same module dates.

In case I can not change my assigned period of time, which rotation should I go to?

Many Thanks!

There is entirely more benefit to Oncology or any subspecialty related to IM than FM, which is not "residency relevant". After USMLE scores, program directors typically look at the quality of residency relevant USCE (ie: in the specialty you wish to secure a residency in, IM in your case) and quality of LORs.

Hi,
Could you please tell me for which dates you have applied and how ahead?

Thank you
