Well I am towards the end of my externship with Dr Jaddou; and I can say these four weeks have being simply amazing! We used to take history and examine patients and present the cases to Dr Jaddou. Then he would discuss the differential diagnosis and line of action; the most important part is that we were never scared to go wrong; he always corrected our mistakes in a jocular way.
Dr Jaddou is very knowledgeable and also very approachable ; this externship added a lot to my knowledge.
He also used to give us handouts on guidelines for management of common cases like hypertension, cholesterol, diabetes, infectious diseases, and conduct test on the same. I would say this was the most beneficial part of the externship.
Besides we also learnt to perform EKG, urine test, strep test, wart freezing, breathing treatment etc. He also used to let us write prescriptions.
The offices are very systematic and disciplined.

So overall it was a great experience that will certainly help me a lot in the career.

This is my first post ever on this site. I decided to comment since I used other peopleís comments to make my decision to sign up for this externship.

One word to describe my experience is AMAZING. Dr. Jaddou was super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He was always trying to teach and point out things that were on the boards and things you would use in daily practice. The biggest thing is that even if you were wrong, he wouldnít make you feel worthless or degrade you, he would kindly correct you and make sure you understood what your mistake was. I was never afraid to ask questions. To reinforce important concepts he provided handouts on common topics such as HTN, HLD, diabetes, and antibiotics that are relevant to Family medicine and for the boards. I absolutely loved these handouts and the tests that came with them.

Like the other post said, I got to take a history, examine the patient, think of diagnosis and treatment plans. I then got to present the case to Dr. Jaddou and he would listen to what you had to say and make corrections if need be. From there I brought the pt to the room where he would talk to them and examine them. I was able to perform EKG, urine tests, strep test, wart freezing, pulmonary function test, pregnancy test, and write prescriptions. I was treated as and felt like a resident.

Out of all the doctors Iíve met, he was literally the only one that made me feel that I should be a doctor. The biggest thing I was able to get from this experience was confidence. When the time comes and I match into a program, Iím going to fly out to Michigan, walk up to his clinic, and give him the biggest hug ever and thank him.

Default Dr. Jaddou's externship program in Michigan

Hello friends,
I have just finished Dr. Jaddou's externship and I wish to write about it as I could hardly find any reviews available regarding this course when I decided to go for it. Those that posted reviews had following post saying that it's fake. TRUST ME this post is genuine.
Going straight to the point, this program is really wonderful. Dr. Jaddou really takes efforts to teach you, to correct you and as I am an IMG , he even helped me with ways to improve my communication skills during the interview.
His handout containing common medical problems is really helpful.
I did a 4-week hands-on externship where I got to do history taking, using of electronic charting (this is new for us as IMG), counselling of patients, EKG and urine testing, outpatient procedures like cryo cauterisation of warts etc and vaccination. He even takes you to CME as and when available during your rotation. And most importantly, he is updated with his knowledge ( This very important as we take our steps.). He helps you research on topic if you are interested. I have, till now, never seen anyone taking so much interest and putting efforts to teach you during observership.
I recommend you to go for this course as it has definitely helped me and I am sure you won't be disappointed in any way.

Default Dr Jaddou's clinical externship

I just completed a 4 week clinical externship with Dr Jaddou. I am writing this post to let any IMG interested in doing externships in the US know that this is one of the best hands on clinical experience you will have. You will be involved in all aspects of patient care from history taking and recording in the EMR (electronic medical records ) to administering intramuscular injections and vaccinations. Dr Jaddou takes special effort to teach and motivate his externs by conducting regular tests and taking us along to attend conferences and CME's. He trains the externs in all aspects of patient care including coming up with the diagnosis, ordering blood work, choosing medications and even writing prescriptions. He helps the IMG's familiarize themselves with US brand names and dosages of the commonly used medications. Ovearall it was the most rewarding 4 weeks and i would recommend it to every one .

Stop Do not recommend

I completed the externship there as well. However my honest opinion is to avoid Dr Jaddou at all cost. He's a business man to exploit imgs and don't give a good letter. His assistant gives out a short generic without anything personal or any word of recommendation, it was 60+hours work week that you will not receive a helpful letter in return, you will be doing tons of work that a medical assistant supposed to do like run tons of urine test in the bathroom.

Adding to my previous post, those nice "testimonies" are required in exchange for the crappy letter, go figure the truthfulness....

Default Dr. Jaddou's clinical externship

I have completed a rotation with Dr. Jaddou very recently. It is a complete hands-on experience. The place is beautiful. Dr. Jaddou treats his externs like family. I have gained so much from this experience which I would like to use in the future. We have all kinds of patient population exposure here. The externship program tends to mimic as closely as possible to an actual residency program. After doing a rotation here, I would want to get a residency in Michigan. That's the effect this program has got on me. Good luck to everyone!

Didn't try him but looks like this guy is a fraud according to the "complementing reviews people" posting ONLY 1 post in their life! Fake accounts shall we say?

I am an IMG and wanted to increase my chances of getting into Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency. I have not done any rotations in America. I have asked others who are already in the program. Surprisingly they all recommended that I do some form of hands-on externship in the states.
At first I contacted few university programs and many donít have this option and those that do it takes several months to get in. For the past month I have been rotating with Dr. Neil Jaddou, I have to say it has been super rewarding experience. It is truly a hands-on rotation and it seems it mimics the residency. During this month I have attended several evening conferences.
if you want to know anything about the program feel free to contact me
