Thank you for the nice collection but I checked the website and histology videos cannot be played by either Windows Media Player nor Real Player. Any idea how to play them?

Some of the videos are actually compressed files that need to be "unzipped." Most of the videos are in .wmv format which is viewable on Windows Media. |

Dr. John Minarcik has been suspended from pathology practice.
Read his confession here http://www.jpands.org/vol9no4/minarcik.pdf Also he post inappropriate language in the Internet as exemplified here http://www.medicalaw.net/august_1,_2005_legal.htm But I have to say that his videos are awesome ![]() |

Hey, there's something I don't understand here. Who made these videos? Is it Dr. John Minarcik or Dr. Martin Swerdlow and who are you and why you are posting these videos for free? |

I just downloaded and played the Acute appendicitis2.wmv video as well as the Adrenal--Atrophy.wmv video. Both videos played without a problem and without needing to be unzipped. I would suggest upgrading your Windows Media Player and try again. Dr. John Minarcik created all of these videos, and www.medicalschoolpathology is his website, not mine. He creates and posts these lectures and histology studies as a free public service. Why does he do it? I think he feels it's a worthwhile contribution to society. I agree, and that's why I am helping him promote the live class I mentioned in the original post. I hope that some of these resources can be helpful to you in your studies; that's what they were made for ![]() --David |

The videos work great with VLC media player. In my opinion one of the best media players out there - completely free too
![]() http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ I honestly wish I'd seen these when I was in medschool. It would have made studying so much easier. I'll see if I can watch some of the more high yield topic videos before the Step1 just to wrap my head around them. Excellent resource. Thanks for sharing here. |

If you think the library is great, you should consider joining us for the free live class that starts on September 7th.
Oh, and milk these resources. Watch the videos as much as you want, download them, burn them, repost them, share them with your friends... This is our service to mankind. |

But, still I don't get it. Because in your YouTube Channel you mentioned that these videos are for Martin Swerdlow not John Minarcik and also if he's the author of the website then why not he's mentioning his name as the author ![]() |

I am glad you are able to play the videos now. ![]() ![]() John Minarcik is the creator of all videos on the youtube channel, WashingtonDeceit, as well as the videos on his website, www.medicalschoolpathology.com. And he is the lecturer for the live class that starts Sept. 7th. He did it all. He is doing all of this work in honor of his hero, Martin Swerdlow. I am Dr. Minarcik's assistant. I volunteer because I believe in his mission: to teach the world pathology for free, especially for the benefit of students in lower socioeconomic strata. Thanks, -David |

I have registered also and am looking forward to the class, thank you so much for posting danebrennan! The Robbins powerpoint slides are awesome too; I am reading Robbins right now so I'll use them to take notes.
I'll only be able to take the class on Thursdays because I have school Tuesday mornings; will there be anyway to watch the lectures I miss afterwards? |

Friends and scholars,
I'm glad you like the videos and that you're excited about the live class. It's looking like we will have a good turnout; should be fun! I have a favor to ask: Would any of you would be willing to help spread the word by putting up posters at your medical school? The class poster is attached. If you feel so led to help out by putting up one or more of these at your school, I would be most grateful. |
