1. Most common pituitary tumor : Prolactinoma (Lactotroph Adenoma)

2. Most common cause of Hypercalcemia in hospitalized patients = Hypercalcemia of Malignancy

3. Most common cause of a Thyroid Nodule = Benign Colloid Nodule

4. Second most common cause of thyroid nodule = Follicular Adenoma (FNAB can't diff. from Follicular Ca.)

5. Most Common Cause of Hyperthyroidism in USA = Graves' Disease

6. Most Common Cause of Hypothyroidism in USA = Iatrogenic

7. Most Common Natural cause of Hypothyroidism in USA = Hashimoto's Thyroiditis

8. Most Common Type of Thyroid Cancer = Pappillary Carcinoma

Lithium, Amiodarone, as cause of hypothyroidism
Overtreatment of hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid)

I just want to add a few more..

Most common cause of primary hyperparathyroidism=Parathyroid adenoma.

Most common cause of secondary hyperparathyroidism=Chronic renal failure

Most common cause of primary hypoparathyroidism=Surgery

Most common cause of hypocalcemia=Chronic renal failure

Most common cause of pathologic hypocalcemia in hospitalized patients=Hypomagnesemia
