NBMEs offline or Kaplan Qbank 1 1.5 months before the real deal

Hey guys, how are you all doing? Hope your prep is going well. I'm in a bit of dilemma right now regarding what I should do 1 1.5 before my exam.

At the moment I'll be reviewing UWorld but I was thinking if I should start a new qbank like Kaplan or just do the offline NBMEs.

I've already done UWorld (2x) and MLERx (1x), UWSA1, and NBMEs 7,11,12.

I will do the remaining online NBMEs (13,15,16) every 2 weeks but I wanted to know if I'd be better of doing a new Qbank (Kaplan in particular) or just do the offline NBMEs to get better used to the NBME format.

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

i am exactly in the same position. i wanted to go for kaplan qbank but almost everyone had sth bad to say about it. i was told by many seniors that ishould just focus on uworld even if i have done it 2 times already so i am going to keep revising , no matter how boring it is going to be :indifferent: and just solve nbme every 2nd week.

Well I bought a 1 month subscription to Kaplan, so I'm going to try and do my weak topics. I'll still do offline NBMEs as well (just not now.)

On a side note, regarding NBMEs, I have another question:
My eligibility period ends this October, and I've signed up for the exam which is on the 30th of October. It's free of charge if I discard this date one month before. So I'm planning to give a tough and one of the recent NBMEs on the 28th of September and then see if I score poorly, I'll discard it. If not, then i'll continue with my prep.

So the question is, which NBME should I take? I thought of taking NBME 13 but what if that's not very predictive? What if I end up getting a low score on the subsequent NBMEs 15 and 16 (which I shall take in the 1st 2 weeks of Oct.)? Which means I can't discard the date.

On the other hand, I'm scared that if I take NBME 16 and score poorly, not only will I have to get a new eligibility period, but I also won't have a good predictor before the real deal.

Any advice guys? I'd really appreciate whatever I can get.

my observation is that if your uworld cumulative was in the 80s and if you have taken any nbme and scored above 240 then you are in a good shape and should not delay the exam. but that again depends on what score you would be satisfied with. nbme 13 and 16 i've heard are the tough ones.
