I'm a medical student that recently took my STEP 1. Luckily, my medical school administration provides personalized schedules for each student to follow during "crunch month". I started off with a baseline NBME score of 200 and panicked... I had 35 days to raise my score by at least 45 points to meet my goal!! Following all the advice I received, I scored above my goal... I'd like to share the schedule I followed and the tools I used to make that happen.
While studying, I created some charts of buzz words and important facts to make the information easy to access in one place... include microbiology, biochemistry, and pathology. A software engineer friend made this into a webpage with a feature to show/hide (similar to flashcards) to help study. We've added the study plan I followed along with all the books and resources used (page numbers and all) to the website. The exact method I followed for the 35 days is all there... daily schedule (with times), how many days to spend on each topic, which resources to use, when and which practice exams to do! Check out the site and share it as you please!! I'd like for my material to help as many folks as possible. As most students will be taking the exam soon, this is a great tool for wrap-up and summary. http://medstudy.guide/ If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions, please fell free to let us know by commenting on this post. I used the actual flashcards, not an electronic version... that way you can add notes to the cards and highlight what's most important
