what is mean by "inability to form new memories" in anterograde amnesia? Generally speaking, memories are always old ( which happened earlier) but what is mean by this "new memories". I am confused with this term.Can anybody help ??

Forming new memories means forming memories after the incident (whatever is causing amnesia). A person can remember everything that happened before the incident but can not remember anything that is happening after.
