Fa 2011 page 499, stated that one of the disadvantages of OCPs is lack of protection against STDs. WTF???

how on earth is this considered a disadvantage? OCPs are solely for Endocrinol purposes, why on earth would we expect STD protection from them???

May be they think use of OCP means multiple sex partners which increases risk of std .so relatively less protection against std.but still i find it strange to be under disadvantage hahah

uworld states OCP is a risk factor for cervical cancer

coz OCP use ----increase promiscuity -----increase HPV infection----increased risk of Cervical Cancer.
