Is it a CAST (Computer-Adaptive Sequential Testing)???

Hey guys .,

I just got done with the exam ..! I feel horrible about 3 mistakes i made which i am sure no body who ever wrote the exam put wrong . My question is ., can anybody tell me if the exam is a CAST (Computer-Adaptive Sequential Testing) ? As in , do the difficulty of the blocks depend on your earlier performance . Anybody who already had a score can help me out with this one . I am asking this cause i felt my final 2 blocks were super easy . And i am terrified that it is cause of those stupid mistakes i made earlier .. ! Am i just being Paranoid ?

Is USMLE Adaptive?

I was interested in this after I found few simple questions in my step 3.
I wrote a direct Q to USMLE

I would like to ask if any of USMLE exams (1, 2 or 3) is a "computer-adaptive test" (CAT), meaning that the difficulty of the next block is based on emaminee performance in the previous blocks [1].
Thank you.

Currently, there are no plans to go to an adaptive model. However, we may explore the possibility in the future.

So dont worry, the test is not adaptive, yet it's difficult to know how you did just based on how you feel after the test...
