secondary amyloidosis is caused secondary to chronic infection or chronic inflammatory disease like RA but there is release of acute phase protein (amyloid A).Here we are talking about chronic conditions but getting rise of acute phase reactant . Is there any explanation which gives more clarification that how is it possible to increase acute phase reactant in chronic conditions ? Amyloid A being an acute phase reactant should increase only in acute phase of inflammation, isn't it so? (Context is from FA:Basic pathology>inflammation>amyloidosis)

Any inflammatory state would increase acute phase reactants

Thanks medical examiner. That means, whether the inflammation is acute or chronic, acute phase reactant (Eg. Amyloid A) can increase, right? Then, the word seems to be somewhat like misnomer.
