Hi guys, I am confused.
In Rapid Review Goljan 3rd Edition, it says no increased risk for cancer for intraductal papilloma.. but, in First Aid 2009, it says increased risk for carcinoma.

yes definitely sam
goljan may have a misprint. it is a benign tumor but u still have to do a biopsy to see if its malignant. if there's no risk there's no need to worry about malignancy. definitely a risk of malignancy there.
Thanks guys! :)
Will it be intraductal papilloma can progress into ductal carcinoma in situ... so, eventually that is why it increases the risk of getting breast cancer?
Well, so if it doesn't progress into DCIS, then there won't be an increase in the risk of getting breast cancer right? :)
