Research Drug Half Life?

A new research drug under study has been found to have a volume of distribution of 35L and a clearance of 690 ml/min. Minute half life of this drug is closest to which of the following values?

A- 15
B- 35
C- 65
D- 105
E- 205

Although USMLE is not very fond of memorizing formulas, the following one may save the day in such questions as the present one.

t1/2 = (0.7 x Vd) / Clearence

690 mL/min = 0.7 L/min approximately.

So, (0.7 x 35L) / 0.7 L/min = 35 min (choice B).
