New kaplan lecture notes are necessary?

Hello every one,
its necessary to read from latest edition of Kaplan lecture notes.??. Actually I have 2013 edition of Kaplan series.. some people saying that as u r willing to give step 1 in 2016 so u must buy 2015 edition of Kaplan lecture notes. Is it true or not.???
I am on first book so its easy for me to buy 2015 edition what should I do??? Please advise me...

I don't think so. I think you will cover the updated material with the latest FA and the uworld explanations (that's what I'm doing) but if you have the resource and just started go for it and get them

I've used the red cover books (I think they're 2013) and I'm on the dark blue 2016 lecture notes. I would say it's around 97% the same. Some editing work has been done. Like mcq's pushed toward the end of the book instead of chapter wise (in micro) some minor corrections in physio. Pharm is basically the same. Haven't checked out anatomy (no time) but I'm guessing it's going to be about the same.
Biochem is 100% the same too.

a new chapter has been added in behavioural sciences in the 2016 edition- "basic science of patient safety"

Most probable only tiny difference. usually almost same material!
