Psyche Honey I need your help ...

while telling the patient about his diagnosis which was cancer he said to his wife: Oh honey i need you support without it i cannot fight this disease.

What mental defense mechanism is this

Reggression!? Going back acting as a younger age, in this case, acting like a child
