Super depressed!!Need Help

Hi, I took step 1 last november but couldn't pass (174).then i decided to take ck before retake step 1. i took ck and again failed (184). I dont no should I proceed or give up? I am an IMG and did MBBS at 2012. Any suggestion?

No . Dont give up. Take Step 1..Get a 250. Take Step 2. Get a 250..Doesnt matter how long takes. Study for a year if needed. Get USCE. Volunteer. Apply to pertinent programs. Community based etc.

You will have a very good chance of matching. My friend failed once. got a 188 second time, and a 210 on step 2, match first time YOG was 2010.. you will be ok. 250, 250...remember two fifty !! BLESS

Hi...first of all,I'm sry abt ur situation and i can understand how u must be feeling.Ur confusion is valid.And while i agree with 250orbust about not losing confidence & working to get a 250,i feel the ultimate decision shd be based on ur current situation.I'm not discouraging u by any way...but u shd definitely evaluate ur priorities at this point.If this is ur dream,and u're willing to do anything for it,gather all ur strength and motivation and work hard towards gettin a decent score...thn u shd just buckle down and study ur ass off and pass both steps with a great score!But if u're half minded abt it,or if u feel u haven't got enough time/money/patience to put into the prep,thn u shd also consider other options.So it all comes down to what u want.

Nvrtheless if this is what u really want,i wld say just work really hard without worrying about ur 1st attempt!I keep hearing repeatedly that ppl with a failed attempt have managed to match as long as the other parts of their application compensate for it.So I'm sure u can do it as well!All the best!
